2011 Chrysler 200 S Sedan and Convertible

2011 Chrysler 200 S Sedan and Convertible

When we first drove the 2011 Chrysler 200 sedan and convertible, Chrysler showed us a (relatively) high-fashion 200 S “concept,” a loaded 200 convertible with unique 18-inch wheels, smoked headlight surrounds, and a black-chrome grille. At the New York auto show this week, Chrysler is rolling out the production S trim package. Available on both the sedan and convertible, it features unique 18-inch wheels, smoked headlight surrounds, and a black-chrome grille.

S models also will have black leather interiors, a black headliner, heated front seats with suede inserts and embroidered S badges on the headrests, suede door trim, and the 200’s optional 276-watt Boston Acoustic stereo with Uconnect. The only options on either S model are a nav system, an engine-block heater, and a smokers’ package. The sedan also has a sunroof on its options list.

For now, the only powertrain available in either 200 S is the 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6, although Chrysler suggested to us that it might offer the S package on four-cylinder cars at a later date. With the V-6, the S sedan starts at $26,790, with the convertible commanding $32,490—each of those prices is actually a couple hundred dollars less than its 200 Limited analogue equipped with the V-6 and upgraded stereo. Chrysler will take your order now, and cars start arriving at dealers in the next few months.
